“Last night I wept. I wept because the process by which I have become a woman was painful. I wept because I was no longer a child with a child's blind faith. I wept because my eyes were opened to reality...I wept because I could not believe anymore and I love to believe. I can still love passionately without believing. That means I love humanly. I wept because from now on I will weep less. I wept because I have lost my pain and I am not yet accustomed to its absence.” -Anais Nin
"Articulacy of fingers, the language of the deaf and dumb, signing on the body body longing. Who taught you to write in blood on my back? Who taught you to use your hands as branding irons? You have scored your name into my shoulders, referenced me with your mark. The pads of your fingers have become printing blocks, you tap a message on to my skin, tap meaning into my body. Your Morse code interferes with my heart beat. I had a steady heart before I met you, I relied upon it, it had seen active service and grown strong. Now you alter its pace with your own rhythm, you play upon me, drumming me taut." -Jeanette Winterson
"I'm a storyteller. I'll work to make you believe me. Throw in some real stuff, change a few details, add the certainty of outrage. I know the use of fiction in a world of hard truth. The story of what happened. Or what did not happen but should have --- that story can become a certain drawn shut, a piece of insulation, a disguise, a razor, a tool that changes every time it is used and sometimes becomes something other then we intended. The story becomes the thing needed." -Dorothy Allison

I'm pretty normal, independent, free-thinking into all kinds of neat subcultures, pro-DIY, pro bent gender and sexuality, slowly becoming more politically and socially conscious, random, funny, sarcastic, interesting, obsessed with comic books, zines, music, killing time, driving around my v. small town looking for amusement, writing zines, working like mad, re-building my life into a structure that can be mutually supportive. I like ice cream more then I should. I love to cook but never do. I love body modification. I talk freely about sex and body funtions and that embarrasses some people. I do Tazewell's Favorite Eccentric zine.
